🎨 How to color it

Color the skeleton cat’s fur soft lavender, the bones creamy white, the witch hat deep purple, and the jack-o’-lantern bright orange. Use sharp crayons or colored pencils around the small tail bones, hat star, and pumpkin teeth, then fill the larger moon shapes with smooth strokes. Try making the two crescent moons different shades of yellow, with the tiny stars sparkling in silver or pale blue.

Whiskers and the Moon — The star on the crooked witch hat looks stitched on tight, but it is actually the lid to a very silly secret. What do you think a skeleton cat would hide way up there? Read the full story →

Whiskers sat as straight as a parade drum between the two crescent moons, trying not to giggle. Can you find the little star on the front of the hat? That was where he had tucked the Moon Munchies: crunchy crumbs that made pumpkins hiccup. He had promised the jack-o’-lantern not to snack before midnight, but the pumpkin’s triangle eyes were already looking suspicious.

Then the hat star popped open with a tiny “plink!” and one crumb bounced right onto the pumpkin’s nose. “HIC-BOO!” shouted the jack-o’-lantern, flashing its big square teeth. Can you spot the bones all the way down Whiskers’s curly tail? They rattled like spoons in a drawer as he laughed. Even the small stars around the moons seemed to wiggle closer, hoping for a crumb of their own.
