🎨 How to color it

Color the skeleton’s bones ivory, the patched witch hat deep purple, the jack-o’-lantern bucket bright orange, and the haunted house roof charcoal gray. Use sharp colored pencils for the tiny roof shingles, path stones, ribs, and finger bones, then switch to broader strokes for the cape and sky. Try making the house windows glow yellow-orange so the skeleton’s silly grin looks extra sneaky at night.

That crooked BOO sign in the skeleton’s hand is not just for scaring neighbors—it is the official flag of a very sneaky plan.

“Perfectly spooky… and only a little wobbly,” Baxter whispered, lifting his favorite pumpkin bucket. The bucket meant everything to him, because its curled handle had carried three summers’ worth of buttons, beetle shells, and one very important candy corn he was saving for emergencies. Can you find the tiny lollipop and wrapped treats tucked inside it?

Baxter clacked along the stone path toward the tall Halloween house, trying to look terrifying in his floppy patched hat. Unfortunately, his knees kept knocking together like castanets, and the bat near the roof seemed to be laughing. “No comments from the winged section,” Baxter said, waving his bony hand. Look at the house sign above the door—Baxter planned to hang his BOO sign right under it, upside down, just to confuse the ghosts.

At the gate, he spotted the little ghost by the grass and gave a dramatic bow. His cape swooshed, his bucket bumped his ribs, and his precious emergency candy corn nearly escaped. Baxter caught it just in time, grinned wider than the crescent moon, and decided the night was already a screaming success.
