🎨 How to color it

Use pumpkin orange for the big smiling pumpkin, leafy red and golden yellow for the two maple leaves, and nutty brown for the acorn. For little hands, try chunky crayons on the wide pumpkin sections and don’t worry if the color crosses the bold lines. Add a tiny green curl on the stem or make each pumpkin stripe a different orange.

That curly stem on top of the smiling pumpkin looks like it is holding a tiny secret in the autumn grass.

Soft wind went whoo-whoo around Pip the pumpkin, and the dry leaves made a gentle crinkle sound. Pip had set a small challenge: keep one leaf on the left, one leaf on the right, and one acorn close by until the breeze calmed down. “I can be a cozy pumpkin,” Pip whispered.

Can you find the big maple leaf touching Pip’s left side? That leaf was named Rustle, and it liked to wiggle. Can you find the smaller leaf behind Pip on the right? That was Goldie, peeking out like a quiet friend. The acorn by the grass gave a sleepy little bump and stayed near Pip’s round side. Pip smiled wider, the stem curled softly, and the leaves settled in for a calm fall cuddle.
