🎨 How to color it

Color the snowflake icy blue, the flower petals pink with a yellow center, the sun golden orange, and the oak leaf coppery brown. Use crayons or markers for the big open shapes, then switch to a sharper pencil for the flower’s skinny rays and the leaf veins. Try making each thick sticker border a different color, like winter purple, spring green, summer red, and fall gold.

The four bold sticker shapes look still on the page, yet the round sun is hiding the start of a wild race. “Go!” shouted Nico, leaping between the snowflake, the flower, the sun, and the oak leaf as if each one were a stepping-stone to a different season.

First, he tapped the snowflake’s thick center, and a chilly whoosh spun from its six arms. Can you find the branch of the snowflake that points straight down? That was the slide Nico zipped along before landing beside the tall flower stem. The flower wiggled its five big petals, but the surprise was in its circle center: a tiny compass needle made of sunshine.

Nico followed the needle to the sun with the short little rays all around it. Count three rays on the right side—one of them clicked open like a secret door! Out popped a warm breeze that pushed him toward the oak leaf. Can you spot the long vein running through the leaf? Nico rode it like a trail, and the leaf’s curled edge fluttered into a golden finish flag.
