🎨 How to color it

Color the bunny soft gray, the basket honey brown, the decorated eggs in robin’s-egg blue, lemon yellow, and pink, and the meadow flowers bright white with golden centers. Use sharp colored pencils for the egg stripes, zigzags, tiny dots, and basket weave, then switch to broader strokes for the rolling hills and big curly cloud. Try making the sun’s rays warm orange while keeping the clouds pale blue so the bunny’s tall ears stand out.

The bunny’s one floppy ear points toward the basket as if it has just heard a race begin behind the flowers. “Five eggs before the sun reaches the top curl of that cloud,” Poppy told herself, bouncing on her round feet.

She had set her own spring challenge: gather the best hiding eggs in the meadow without tipping over a single daisy. Can you find the egg with the zigzag stripe in the basket? That was the first one, rescued from the grass near the curving path. The egg with little dots came next, tucked beside the tallest flower on the left, where Poppy had to hop sideways like a crab to avoid the leaves.

The cottage chimney puffed a wiggly line of smoke, and Poppy imagined it cheering, “Faster, faster!” Across the hill, three tiny birds near the smiling sun seemed to keep watch. Can you spot them above the cloud? With one last leap, Poppy slid the flower-patterned egg into the basket, straightened her bow tie, and grinned. The sun had not climbed past the cloud curl yet—and the meadow still had plenty of room for a victory hop.
