🎨 How to color it

Give the skeleton a soft bone white, the astronaut suit bright orange and silver, the ringed planet golden yellow, and the crescent moon pale blue. Use sharp colored pencils for the suit patches, hoses, and planet rings, then switch to markers for the larger helmet and suit panels. Try making the star patches on the knees and sleeves glow in different neon colors, as if this bony explorer packed party lights for space.

The skeleton’s raised glove is paused mid-wave, and that friendly hello is actually part of a very silly space dare.

A tiny beep-beep-beep echoed inside Cosmo’s helmet while starlight bounced off his round visor like a disco ball. He had challenged himself to wave at five different things before his moon snack timer went off—and absolutely not to spin upside down while doing it. First came the huge ringed planet on the left. “Good evening, your stripey roundness,” Cosmo said, giving it his most official astronaut wave.

Can you find the little star near his open glove? Cosmo called that one Flash, because it looked like it had just sneezed sparkles. Next he waved at the crescent moon in the upper corner, then at the tiny circle above his helmet, which he was pretty sure was either a faraway planet or a runaway space pea.

For his final wave, Cosmo needed something tricky. He spotted the star patch on his bent knee and gasped. “Aha! Hidden passenger!” Can you find the matching star patches on his sleeve and other knee? Cosmo waved at each one, wobbled backward, and nearly bonked his helmet on the ringed planet. The timer beeped one last time, and Cosmo proudly declared, “Challenge complete—with only one accidental space somersault.”
