Did you notice the fish staring back as if it owns the room? Poppy had only planned to inspect the bubbles, count the pebbles, and perhaps look innocent near the fern. Then the goldfish, Barnacle, popped up and asked why her whiskers were dripping into his ceiling. Poppy blinked. A talking fish was rude enough, but a fish with rules was outrageous.
