🎨 How to color it

Color the JAMES letters royal blue, the lion shield gold and red, and the two star badges bright yellow with orange centers. Use chunky crayons or broad markers for the big letters first, then switch to a sharper crayon point for the lion’s claws, mane, and curly tail. Try giving each star badge a tiny silver outline so they sparkle beside the bold name.

The story behind this coloring page

Every evening, after the museum doors clicked shut, James dusted the long glass cases and paused by the old lion shield. He held his breath in the cool, lemon-polish smell, hoping for one tiny roar from the carved lion.

One night, a pale moon-moth fluttered in through the keyhole and landed on the shield’s rim. Because of that, James did not tap the glass or call for help. Because of that, the moth’s wings brushed the lion’s nose, soft as a whisper. At last, the shield hummed, low and golden: “Wait.” James smiled and waited until the moth flew on. Next time you see the lion’s open mouth, can you imagine the tiny roar James heard after the museum doors clicked shut?
