🎨 How to color it

Color the lion cub golden yellow with a caramel mane, make the big LEO letters sky blue, and fill the little stars with bright lemon yellow. The letters have wide open spaces, so chunky crayons or markers can make smooth, bold color without needing tiny strokes. Try adding a pale lavender glow around the star line so the constellation feels gentle above Leo’s name.

Under the round roof of the little observatory, Leo pressed one paw into the soft rug and invented a game. He would count one blink from every star before swishing his tail. The brass telescope smelled like rain and old pennies, and the night made a hush-hush sound at the window.

One star blinked quickly. Another winked twice. Leo waited for the smallest one, the quiet dot above the shelf. “Your turn,” he whispered. At last, a tiny flash answered—but not from the sky. The tall letters beside him glowed, one after another: L, then E, then O, slow as breathing.

Leo smiled and swished his tail only once. The sky and his name had been playing the same patient game, and if you follow the little stars above him, you might catch the next slow blink.
