🎨 How to color it

Color the jellyfish bell soft lavender, the star clip bright yellow, the bubbles pale aqua, and the waving seaweed grassy green. Use chunky crayons for the big round bell and bubbles, then switch to a sharper crayon point for the skinny tentacles and scalloped edges. Try making every other tentacle light pink so the jellyfish looks extra playful beside the yellow star.

Under Bubble Reef, Pip kept a little shell-star tucked above his bell because it hummed when home was near. One morning it went quiet. Not a buzz, not a purr—only the pop-pop-pop of bubbles. So Pip slipped past the soft sea grass to find its sound.

He brushed through tickly kelp, squeezed under a wavy rock, and lost one shiny bubble from his pocket. “Secret trade,” whispered a crab, clicking by. At last Pip heard humming—not from the shell-star, but from all his friends making room in the reef.

Pip carried the quiet star back anyway. When he tucked it on, it hummed with the bubbles, the kelp, and his own little heart. Next time you spot that star, don’t tell everyone—but maybe you’ll know why Pip is smiling.
