🎨 How to color it

Color the airplane silver, the cockpit window sky blue, the puffy cloud pale lavender, and the rolling suitcase cherry red. Use broad crayon strokes on the long airplane body, then switch to a sharper pencil for the small row of windows and suitcase pocket. Add one bright stripe along the tail and wings so this vacation plane looks like it belongs to your very own airline.

Under the buzzing airport lights, Tavi zipped his tiny suitcase and whispered, “I’m making my own travel stamp before the plane door closes.” He had drawn one on a napkin, but it looked like a potato with wings. So he stepped away from the chairs, past the coffee smell and click-click suitcases, hunting for a better idea.

At Gate B, a craft cart rattled by with paper, tape, and squishy ink pads. Tavi traded his last pretzel for one blue thumbprint pad. He pressed, folded, snipped, and stuck. His fingers turned ocean-blue, and his suitcase wore a brave little airplane stamp. When he rolled back, the jet hummed outside. Secret test: can you spot the suitcase that carried Tavi’s handmade mark under the buzzing airport lights?
